Electrify Yarra is a not for profit, volunteer community organisation.  We’re inspiring everyone to save money by switching to efficient appliances using lowest cost energy – electricity from renewables.

Our aim in this project is to reduce Ivan/Park St’s household energy bills.

In the coming months we will work with renters and owners in Ivan Street and Park Street (between St Georges Road and Bennett Streets) to

• Establish a baseline of current household appliances, transport and energy sources and costs

• Work with you on priorities for adopting efficient electric appliances, getting off gas and improving thermal efficiency

• Provide assistance with input on quotes, suppliers, lessons learned and connections with neighbours who have already electrified and can share their experience

• As the project progresses, report on progress and document the impact of our collective work.

• Publish a guide for similar community based projects in the City of Yarra.
